Cherry Studio API setup
Add UniRoute to Cherry Studio with an OpenAI endpoint, API key and chat model; configure Anthropic for Cherry Agent.

OpenAISetup steps
1. Add the provider
Open Settings → Model Provider → Add Provider. Enter UniRoute in Provider Name.
2. Fill the endpoint and key
Paste your API Key. Under Endpoint settings → OpenAI, enter https://api.uniroute.app/v1, then click Add. The chat request uses /v1/chat/completions.
3. Add a model
On the UniRoute provider page, click + beside Sync models. Enter deepseek-v4-flash in Model ID, DeepSeek V4 Flash in Model Name, and UniRoute in Group Name. Set Endpoint Type to OpenAI and save.
You can also use Sync models, then add the returned models to the provider’s list.
4. Enable and select UniRoute
Turn on the provider’s enable switch. Return to a conversation and select the model under UniRoute.
Enable the provider and add its models before selecting them in chat.
What these fields do

Choose a model
Use Cherry Agent
Edit the UniRoute provider and enter the following under Endpoint settings → Anthropic:
https://api.uniroute.appAdd claude-sonnet-5-5 with Endpoint Type → Anthropic, then select it for Cherry Agent. Cherry Agent uses Anthropic Messages; this endpoint is separate from the OpenAI chat endpoint.
Confirm the connection
Send a short test: Reply only: hello
Open usage logs to review the model, request status and charge. The test is a real, billed API request.
Use Model Check on the provider page, then open a chat with the UniRoute model and match its response to usage logs.
Switch back / restore a backup
Select your previous provider’s model in the conversation. Disable the UniRoute provider to hide its models, or remove only that provider from Model Provider.

Install Cherry Studio from the official download page, then open Settings → Model Provider.
FAQ
Should OpenAI contain the complete chat URL?
Use https://api.uniroute.app/v1. The client appends /chat/completions.
Can one provider hold both protocols?
Yes. Fill the OpenAI and Anthropic endpoints, then set each model’s Endpoint Type to its protocol.
Can I add models manually?
Yes. Use + to enter the exact Model ID, or add selected results from Sync models.
Troubleshooting
Model missing from chat
The provider is disabled or the model has not been added.
Enable UniRoute and add the model to its model list.
404 / repeated /v1
The endpoint contains a duplicated version or the complete chat path.
Set OpenAI to https://api.uniroute.app/v1.
401 / invalid key
The key is incomplete, revoked or lacks permission.
Replace API Key with a complete active UniRoute key.
Cherry Agent cannot use the model
Its Anthropic endpoint or endpoint type is missing.
Configure Anthropic as https://api.uniroute.app and select the Claude model with Endpoint Type Anthropic.
